چکیده

To assess the effect of stress state and strain rate on damage fracture a commercial DP1000 steel with very fine microstructure, an extensive series tests were performed. Using finite element simulations, eight different sample geometries, including dogbone, central hole, shear several notched samples, designed to achieve both proportional non-proportional states using conventional test benches. Tested at quasi-static, intermediate and, dynamic deformation rates, in total 175 Local fields obtained by digital image correlation. A correction procedure was worked out eliminate influence thermal softening. After testing, scanning electron microscopy employed analyse surfaces. Tests fractography allowed draw systematic conclusions response steel. two-stage sensitivity strength is found gradually increasing slope low rates much steeper rise high which further amplified higher triaxiality states. The experimentally derived loci revealed dominant, detrimental impact that most pronounced rates. remarkable, non-monotonic evolution observed: highest values Scanning images surfaces indicate void-assisted ductile fracture, though occurrence brittle features triggered Fracture morphology dimple are heavily dependent state, loading path.

Strain gradient plasticity under non-proportional loading

A critical examination is made of two classes of strain gradient plasticity theories currently available for studying micrometre-scale plasticity. One class is characterized by certain stress quantities expressed in terms of increments of strains and their gradients, whereas the other class employs incremental relationships between all stress quantities and the increments of strains and their g...

An optimal policy for deteriorating items with time-proportional deterioration rate and constant and time-dependent linear demand rate

In this paper, an economic order quantity (EOQ) inventory model for a deteriorating item is developed with the following characteristics: (i) The demand rate is deterministic and two-staged, i.e., it is constant in first part of the cycle and linear function of time in the second part. (ii) Deterioration rate is time-proportional. (iii) Shortages are not allowed to occur. The o...

A plasticity model with yield surface distortion for non proportional loading

A plasticity model with yield surface distortion for non proportional loading. ABSTRACT In order to enhance the modeling of metallic materials behavior in non proportional loadings, a modification of the classical elastic-plastic models including distortion of the yield surface is proposed. The new yield criterion uses the same norm as in the classical von Mises based criteria, and a "distorted...

Analysis of cure rate survival data under proportional odds model.

Due to significant progress in cancer treatments and management in survival studies involving time to relapse (or death), we often need survival models with cured fraction to account for the subjects enjoying prolonged survival. Our article presents a new proportional odds survival models with a cured fraction using a special hierarchical structure of the latent factors activating cure. This ne...
